We ordered this through Wal-Mart and paid $220. With Wal-Mart's new Ship to Store the shipping was FREE. You have to go to the store and pick it up but that was cheaper then most sites charge for shipping on this item.

It was packaged very well there were not any scratches or damage to the pieces and we figured if there were we'd just return it to Wal-Mart which is why we ordered it from them.

Assembly took some time just because there are several screws and you want them tight enough but not too tight but instructions were clear and it was easy to follow.

I was the "expectant" grandmother of not 1, but 2 babies that were due a month apart. I wanted a crib for my house that was nice looking, would last, and didn't cost too much. I went to Baby Depot to look around and thought I found all that in the Storkcraft Rochester crib in Cognac. Not only did it look nice, I loved the color, it would last until both boys were well older (turned into a double bed) and it was on sale for $179. Perfect! I went to put the crib on layaway only to find out it was special order. No problem, that would give me time to get the nursery done and I wouldn't have to store the crib. I was told 6 to 10 weeks. It came in in about 4, so quick service. I wound up having to put the crib on layaway anyway as the nursery was not ready. When I brought it home and went to put it together, it was damaged. Baby Depot got me a new one in 2 weeks. I picked that one up today - it's worse. It's not solid wood, the slats are MDF and many of them are not finished on the sides (only the fronts and backs). It's going back and I'm getting my money back on Monday.

Beatrice Natural Combo Tower-$229.99 + shipping Rochester Crib with drawer-$189.99 + shipping

I ordered three items from Storkcraft. One of the items was missing a part (after calling customer service, it came rather quickly-about 2 weeks), one of the pieces (the tower) had 6 damaged pieces in the box (customer service said they would be shipped in 2-3 weeks), the crib came in the wrong color. Three weeks later I called about the tower. The Lady informed me that it should be shipping within 2-3 weeks of my previous call. When I asked her to check her records and see when I had called to request the new pieces, her date matched with mine that it was over three weeks since I had first called. She couldn't tell me why, after 3 weeks, the items still had not been shipped, but they should be shipping soon. I still have no crib and have no idea when it will be here. Companies that deal with pregnant women should definietly have a better system in place to deal with problems like this!

I purchased the Rochester crib and changing table from a local vendor. I had to wait an extra month for the dresser to arrive and when it did it was severely damanged. The dresser cost 299.99 and it looks as if it were purchased at a garage sale. I have complained about this to both the vendor and storkcraft who both say they will get new pieces sent to replace the damaged ones but I have yet to see anything from anyone and it has been four months since this whole purchase began. The crib came another month later after mine got shipped to someone else and I called a dozen times hounding people at both storkcraft and the vendor that I did not recieve a crib. When it finally arrived it was minus the hardward to install the drop side. We then had to call again to get the hardware sent which took another two weeks to arrive. I am completely unsatisfied and am still waiting for the replacement pieces for the changing table/dresser.

We bought a few items from Storkcraft: Beatrice 7 drawer dresser, changing table/dresser combo, a hutch for the combo, and a Cynthia Stages crib. The dresser arrived with 2 broken pieces and the rep and Storkcraft immediately guessed which ones I called about. Apparently it's a frequent problem with the same two pieces. The crib arrived with a few hardware pieces simply missing. There were some dents and scratches, but nothing worth waiting a month to get a replacement. One of the reviews that I previously read, stated that you can make a dent in the furniture with your fingernail. I confirm it.

The assembly was relatively easy, the instructions were clear enough. The few problems we encountered were with the screws. If you try to screw them in and your screwdriver pops off more than 2 times, you are likely to damage the screws. They're very soft. Also, the screws just keep turning when you're screwing them in. So I'm not quite sure how long this furniture will last. The drawer/door knobs also keep twisting even the the screw can't go any further. We will probably have to replace them soon with the new knobs... These seem flimsy.
