My husband put this crib together and he said it was pretty easy to do. He was a little confused when it came to the drawer because one of the wood pieces was a different color than the rest of the crib. But he figured it out in the end.

Everything seems to be working well with our crib- the drawer, the drop side and the mattress positioner. I use the drawer all the time to store diapers, wipes and linens. Although, be warned- if you own a cat you might find them sleeping in there!

We bought Sorelli Lana crib finished in white in 2006 from Baby Furniture Warehouse. The crib is made of nice wood, not bulky, and looks really nice. It worked fine at the beginning but we weren't using the drop side at all then. The troubles began when we lowered the mattress to the lowest level. First of all we realized that the metal spring support actually doesn't line up. We dissassembled the crib (as being told so by BFW), and put it back together, still they didn't work. Secondly and most importantly, the side rail makes too much noise everytime we move it up and down and it is really very hard to move, it makes the entire crib shake. And yes, we tried to spray PAM on the rails to make it move smoother. One hand release is soo NOT happening with this crib. Last night when I picked up our baby to give her a soothing hug, I couldn't lower the side down in order to put her back in the crib. Holding her in one arm and struggling with the rest of my body to put that stupid side down frustrated me so much that after 5 sweaty minutes I called my husband for help. As you can imagine the whole thing made the baby wide awake. We are buying another crib before this Sorelli Lana drives me totally crazy. What a waste of money!

Cons: Assembly instructions

I purchased the Sorelle Glenda crib in Cherry finish and am very pleased with the quality. It has all of the features we wanted including one drop side, adjustable height, bottom drawer, converts to a toddler bed, made of Beechwood and manufactured in Italy. It was important to us to not purchase a crib made in the far East in order to ensure that the crib for our baby wasn't made by someone else's babies where child labor laws don't always exist. We also wanted a wood that is more durable than Pine. It's a very attractive crib.

The instructions that came with it were a bit challenging to use. One of the parts was mislabeled on an illustration and they didn't have the steps in the best order. We figured it out eventually. The drawer front was not covered in plastic in the shipping box, which resulted in some minor scratches, but we don't mind because it's close to the floor and you can't really see it. The rest of the crib arrived in excellent condition. We haven't been using it that long, so I can't speak to how will hold up over time, but I feel that it is very sturdy.

We purchased it from www.jdee.net for $350. They sell it for a higher price, but we found it cheaper else where. I had read positive reviews of the customer service at www.jdee.net and wanted to buy from them and they have a price matcher service where they will attempt to match a price if you find a product they carry cheaper. They matched my price and feel that I got a quality crib at a reasonable price.

My husband and I bought the Sorelle Rosa crib shortly before my daughter was born. We assembled it without much difficulty, and were pretty happy with the crib. We bought it at a local furniture store for $250. Well, my daughter is now 8 months old, and we attempted to lower the mattress to the lowest position. Well, it cannot be done!!! The bars that hold the mattress support in position cannot be lined up correctly. Therefore, we would have to drill new holes into the crib to have the supports line up. No way!!! We are currently waiting for the store we purchased it from to come evaluate the situation. In the meantime, we are looking for a new crib. We were able to lower the mattress to the middle position, but it is still too high for my comfort. Poor design!!!!!!!

We bought the C&T Jackie from Baby Depot (Burlington) for $300 in 2005. The first one didn't go together right - we thought it was our fault, but when the side kept scraping and coming off the track, we exchanged it.

The second one went together much more quickly (we'd had practice) and worked 100% better. The drop side went up and down smoothly and still does. No basis for comparison, but everything seems pretty sturdy after a year of use. DH thinks the one in the store went up and down easier, tho.
