Good product but LACKS in Customer Service, January 15, 2008
Reviewer: GMiller from Salt Lake City, UT

Pros: Solid Furniture
Cons: Customer Service

I've owned the Rosalia crib since 2005 and have noticed that the screws were stripping. I contacted the customer service department to find out how to order a few extra parts.

First of all, they have a phone number but never answer it and they have a message that discourages people to call. They seem to encourage people to communicate via email.

After emailing, I got a response that they won't replace or sell individual screws or bolts, but I could purchase a complete Hardware Kit for $65. (that's alot of money for a couple of screws!) They also requested that I send them my credit card info via email (which I don't feel comfortable doing).

I like our crib, but would certainly warn anyone thinking of purchasing one in the future.

Great quality solid wood furniture!, November 6, 2007
Reviewer: alirebco from Annapolis, MD

Pros: Solid wood construction, modern design, quick to arrive
Cons: Crib slats are thick so bumpers are hard to fit, cost

We purchased the Pali Carrigan series and we got the crib and the 6 drawer long dresser. It arrived in about 7 weeks, even though the store quoted us 10-14 weeks. I was also able to call 1 week after I ordered it to get a timeframe of when it would come in.

The quality is beautiful and incredibly solid. I love how the crib can convert to a fullsize bed when we need it to and that this furniture will last our child through high school. It doesn't look babyish and the quality will last.

The only issue is that the corner posts are hard to tie bumpers on, so if you are interested in using a bumper, you might want to check before you buy. It is expensive, but considering how long we are planning on using it, we are ok with the cost.

Other than that, we love it and are very happy with our purchase!

We shopped all over and finally decided on Pali. We choose the Rosalia crib in cherry and the 4000 combo, hutch and armoire in cherry. We bought from BUY BUY Baby in Paramus, NJ and had a wonderful experience. At first I was overwhelmed by all the choices and all the different prices.

I was tempted to go for some of the stuff from China and Indonesia because of the price, but if you check, the quality is not so good and the finish is always rough or dinged up to cover up poor workmanship.

In the end our decision to buy high quality furniture is going to really pay off. I am sure we will use our Pali furniture for our next child as well.

Just touch and compare the feel of Pali with anything else in the store and you can tell how carefully the product is made.

The construction has dovetailed drawers, solid tops and drawers. The crib and furniture has a silky smooth finish.

The Rosalia crib is beautiful and solid. WOW ! Made in Italy. I love it !

We purchased Pali in late April and it was delivered the 1st week of June. about 6 weeks. No problems.

I love showing off T's nursery.

PALI - WHAT A DISASTER - AVOID AT ALL COSTS, April 19, 2007
Reviewer: rg1111 from Hoboken, NJ

Pros: None
Cons: The company's lack of integrity and honesty

I ordered Pali furniture from Buy Buy Baby on November 14th 2006. It is now April 19, 2007 - and I am still waiting for Pali to manufacture and deliver the furniture to Buy Buy Baby after 5 months. Pali quotes that it'll take 2 months on average to do this. Needless to say our baby arrived to an empty room despite us ordering from what we thought was a reputable company, with 5 months to go before the birth.

When Buy Buy Baby was able to get Pail to actually call them back, here are the variety of excuses I was told

- The legs that were made for all pieces of my furniture (crib, changing table, chest of drawers) were stained the wrong color. This resulted in having to go back to Italy to have the feet remade and redelivered

- The furniture is held up in Canada due to a snowstorm. That was 3 weeks ago and counting. I didn't know it snowed in Canada continuously for 3 weeks.

Luckily Buy Buy Baby came through with somewhat similiar temporary furniture that will be replaced one day by the real thing - but only after I floated the cash for this set.

A good compromise for a more mid-century modern look., September 11, 2006

Like a lot of new homeowners, we've had fun furnishing our house with mid-century modern couches, coffee tables, dining sets, etc. So when it came to outfitting our nursery, I thought we'd be able to find a simple-looking (read: no sleigh beds, please!) crib to match our aesthetic. After an extensive Web search, the only modern-looking cribs I could find started at $800 and went up from there. I spent a couple of months trying to justify to myself this expenditure, but I just couldn't do it. Eventually, I had to start over and find something I could live with.

I settled on the Denise from Pali. At $289, it seemed like a real bargain after looking at that $800 number. I'm glad I did, too, because I have grown to really love it.

I put the crib 75% together by myself--while 8 months pregnant. I needed help by the end when it all got connected, but I was pleased that I had been able to unpack the parts and get it nearly assembled without having to call in backup. The instructions were clear, simple, and easy to follow.

I roll the whole crib out from the wall every couple of days (or more frequently, depending on my daughter's spitty-up habits) to change the sheet protector that's tied to the side rails. I like how sturdy the crib feels when I'm moving it, even across carpet, where the wheels have to make it out of their dents first.

Aesthetically, I really like it. I like the feel of the smooth wood, and it matches nicely with the other furniture in the room, none of which was new. It's got a nice drawer under the bed where I keep the sheets, mattress pads, and a few other nursery items. Extra storage is always a plus in my small house. I have to use a dust ruffle for now since the mattress is in the higher position and otherwise, the items in the drawer would be exposed and on display for all the world to see. But I guess that's what dust ruffles are for (besides looking pretty).

I love how smoothly the side rail drops. My only complaint is how loudly it clicks into place when I bring it up. It's always a gamble whether my daughter will startle awake when this happens. My husband has found a way to return it silently (by keeping pressure on the side with his knee, as if he were releasing it to drop), but now I'm so used to the click that I worry that it hasn't caught if I don't hear the noise!

I bought the straight rail for converting the crib to a toddler bed. Who knows if we'll end up using it, but at $79 it was worth it just in case. I'd hate to try to find it, and in a matching color, later if we need it.
