My baby is now almost 4 months old, and I still love his crib. I was excited to find it at Baby Depot - no one else seems to carry it, and info online about it was scant. I think with tax I paid just shy of $200. I have a pet peeve about screws showing on the sides of cribs, but I didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars more for hidden hardware. The only hardware on this crib that shows are the plastic slides inside the drop rail, and on a white crib like I bought, these are hardly noticeable. The crib feels stable; I feel okay about leaning on the rail when I'm trying to put a sleeping baby down without waking him. Delta brags about this crib being very easy to put together, and they were right. My husband, who loves putting things together, was disappointed that there was no challenge for him. I think we had the whole thing assembled and bedding put on in <30 min. The crib came with a freestanding cheap looking "drawer" on wheels that just slide on the floor like an underbed box rather than being connected to the crib itself. There is no lid to it. We have a bedskirt on the crib which hides the drawer, and so it's not a bad bonus. It slide just fine on carpet. I just have misc junk in there now and don't use it often - not sure it would be as handy as a real drawer if you needed to open it every day. Also, once baby is crawling I think he'd be able to get into it if you had it on a hardwood floor. Overall, this crib is a winner!

We paid $100 for the Jenny Lind crib and it looks just as nice as other cribs that are much more expensive! It is SO EASY to put together that I did it myself 8 months pregnant. I am very happy with this crib and I am looking forward to many more children sleping in it.

Delta Luv Jenny Lind Crib - A+ value, A+ design, May 5, 2006
Reviewer: thatsmybaby from boston, ma

Pros: price, ease of setup, classic style
Cons: coordinating items are unattractive

Pros:

Value - We paid $99 for the Delta Luv Jenny Lind crib (white) at BRU.

Versatility - classic design is timeless. white color coordinates with any white furniture.

Easy Assembly - The crib was extremely easy to put together and required no tools.

Easy to use - We just recently dropped the mattress to the lower position which was also very easy. I haven't had any issues with the siderails (they drop on both sides with a double latch.

Design - Another benefit, which I wouldn't have thought of before having a baby, is the spindle design of the crib slats... The round spindle design actually helped my daughter learn to pull up to a standing position!

Cons: I know that other reviews have said one of the drawbacks is that this crib lacks a spring suspension, but honestly, with a good crib mattress I don't see how this would make a huge difference in the comfort of the crib. I've also heard people complain that this crib smells of paint fumes out of the box... ours did not, so this may have been a "batch" issue. The biggest con I can think of is that the coordinating furniture (changing table and dresser) are pretty unattractive. We purchased plain white furniture to coordinate and it looks nice.

We paid $109 for Delta's Jenny Lind style crib to use at grandma's house based on the very positive review by Consumer Reports. Though it's not really our style, this crib seems to be higher in quality than the more expensive Child Craft crib we have in our nursery. It was super easy to assemble and works smoothly. Would highly recommend for grandma's house, and even for baby's room.

I paid $219 plus tax for this Delta Luv natural pine crib at BRU. It was INCREDIBLY difficult to put together and the instructions were only PICTURES. The drop side was difficult to use and my husband accidentally fell on the drop side rail and it completely broke off and had to be replaced. When I called to get a replacement under the limited warranty the service agent was unbvelievably rude and unhelpful. I have to submit a fax order for a part and a copy of the receipt if only I can find it (it's been 6 months). We bought it because it had the one hand release and wasn't over 300 dollars, but I wish I would have sprung for something pricier. These are the same cribs that they are marketing at Kmart now for cheap. BEWARE--cheap doesn't always mean it's a deal sometimes it's just CHEAP!
