Modern style furniture Babi italia-contemporary white, October 30, 2007
Reviewer: Anonymous

Pros: styling, price
Cons: crib seems a little wobbly

This furniture was special ordered through Babies R Us and arrived early. We love the changing table(combo), but the attachment pieces for the "hat" were missing from the box. DH will need to purchase our own @ home improvement store. The changing table seems very sturdy. The armoire is attractive and provides lots of storage. Although the shelf is adjustable, I wish it could be lowered even more than it can go. 0-3 clothes are hitting the shelf even on the lowest setting. It seems sturdy, however. The crib seems like it could be more sturdy but is beautiful. Overall, we really like this furniture and really like the styling for the price. We are pleased with our purchase.

Bonavita Monroe, July 20, 2007
Reviewer: Anonymous

Pros: solid wood, quality product, beautiful
Cons: flimsy drawer, unclear assembly instructions

We bought this bed from albeebaby.com. The product arrived in 2 days! It was very well packaged, but still the drawer bed was slight damaged because it really just thick cardboard. The drawer itself was ikea quality, but the rest is solid hardwood. Assembly took 90 mins, maybe faster if someone helped me.

The instructions are unclear on 2 areas: 1. make sure you have the sliding rail in the correct position (which side faces inside vs out) before you install it 2. if you decide to install wheels, only 2 have brakes, so you wanna install them in the front. Once you pop them in, it's almost impossible to take out.

Overall we are very happy with the crib. The Colgate classica I mattress fits snugly in this crib.

Pinehurst cribs great but dresser & armoire mediocre, July 7, 2007
Reviewer: 3boys from Palm Springs area, CA

Pros: sturdy cribs, nice looking
Cons: problems with cracked panels & drawer doesn't open smoothly

I was surprised to see so much good feedback after our experience with this furniture. We bought this furniture two years ago for our twins, who are now 20 mos old. The cribs were reasonably easy to assemble and have held up well. I like that they're convertible, but you do have to pay additional to get toddler bed rails and the conversion kit for a full-size bed. Our kids made bite marks on the top, which obviously isn't the mfr's fault but something to think about when buying pine baby furniture.

The problems I wanted to highlight were with the dresser & armoire. We exchanged the first dresser we received b/c a door panel had a large crack in it upon delivery. The new one looked fine but has also developed a crack, and the top drawer sticks when closing it. The armoire now has a large crack in one of the door panels too.

This furniture has been used gently and not for long - the twins were in our room (with their clothing in our dresser) until they were 9 mos old. They don't play in their room, so the furniture hasn't been abused by them either.

We bought this so long ago that I've forgotten how much it cost, but we did buy it at Babies R Us. Hope you all have better luck with it than we did!

My husband and I just assembled the Baby Italia/Issi Cerianna Lifestyle crib yesterday. It is a beautiful convertible crib and it is very solid and sturdy. The color is a little more reddish than you see on the Baby Italia website and under flourescent lights at BRU. The crib is heavier than we remember when we checked it out at Babies R Us but we find it very solid. It took us about 60-90 minutes to assemble (only because at 8 months I move slowly and DH is on crutches ). Without these encumberences you can probably assemble in under one hour. There are some bolts to attach at the very end that were difficult to screw in because the Allen Wrench (provided) is too long to go all the way around without hitting the base. No other tools were needed except a screwdriver. I would definitely recommend this crib to others!

Excellent qualiry, worth every penny, May 25, 2007

Cons: Pricey

Purchased a dresser and crib abotu 3 years ago and it still looks like it is brand new. Our 2 yo is VERY hard on her furniture and her crib and dresser have held up perfectly. I would highly recommend spending the extra $ and getting Bonavita products.

The only con I have, and this goes for many of the convertable crib lines, is that the products are very pricey. Also, you pay extra for toddler rails, and convertable full bed rails. Really adds up and can break the bank before you know it.
