Pros:
How versatile this furniture is- can be used for many years
Cons:
Big, heavy, and I would recommend having it delivered

We own two pieces of the Series 500- Shaker Country Charms collection in natural wood. Both pieces (the 7 drawer low dresser and the highboy) are beautiful in the natual wood. We chose these pieces because we wanted something that could be used once our baby got older and by the looks and build of the pieces, can definitely be used for many years. The tops have smooth round edges and we use the low dresser as a changing table and it works perfectly. The highboy has excellent storage (as does the dresser). I highly recommend purchasing from Ragazzi. We were told that it would take three months to get the pieces in stock and they arrived in four weeks! We found a crib that we liked from another company (Sorelli) and the natural wood pairs perfectly. You would never know they were from different makers. Pricing:
Grand Highboy #513: Originally $929 On sale for $776
Double Dresser # 508 Originally $779 On sale for $701By the way, when we first received these pieces we lived in a 3rd floor apartment and then decided to move. So basically in a two month period before the baby was born these pieces were moved twice and they held up wonderfully with no problems. I would definitely recommend hiring someone to move them for you if you are ever in the same situation though- these pieces are pretty heavy. (but I consider that a good thing because of their quality)

Cons:

We bought a ragazzi set for our nursery at over %60 off due to going out of business (owners retiring but soon someone else will take over the company).... we love it! it's a crib, dresser with hutch combo, and armoire.... it looks beatiful, dark wood and seems very sturdy, like it will last a long time....love that there is no exposed hardware and dresser drawers are very smooth to open adn close and reinforced as are the cabinets doors.... LOVE IT!

Pros:
Harder for baby to climb out of crib, higher changing table.
Cons:
None

We have had our Ragazzi crib and dresser with changing table top for nearly 6 years, and they still look like new and feel very solid. The best thing about the crib, which I didn't even realize at the time I bought it, is that the crib mattress sits several inches lower than most crib mattresses, which means it is much, much harder for the baby to climb out. My first son is in the 95th percentile for height, and at age 3, when we moved him to a big bed, he still could not get his leg high enough to climb out of the crib. This is a very big deal to me because the longer you can keep a kid in a crib without their trying to climb out, the safer they are. I also like that the crib can be converted to a toddler bed be removing the front rail and putting on two screw covers - no conversion kit needed. We also have a dresser with a removable changing table top. What I love about this is that it is at the perfect height, so I am not bending over when I am changing diapers. I think a lot of changing tables out there are too low for tall people. There is a little space under the changing table top to store wipes and diaper cream and stuff. The changing table top easily unscrews from the back, so we can continue to use the dresser for years. The furniture is designed with kids' safety in mind. It has rounded edges and is very dificult to tip, and drawers glide smoothly. I believe we paid around $700 for the crib in 1999, and it is about to get used for our third baby. The crib came with a warranty of three kids or ten years, whichever comes first. I love Ragazzi so much, I am considering getting some of their bunk beds for my older son now. The furniture came in a ton of different finishes and all of the styles were attractive. You probably have to go to a boutique-y store to get it and order at least 3 months in advance.

Pros:
Extremely sturdy, beautiful style
Cons:
Price is high but worth it.

We have had our Ragazzi crib model #361 (now discontinued), which we paid $479- in 1/2004. We had to donate the Million Dollar Baby crib to charity since it was so flimsy, and DD is extremely active and hard on everything she touches. She's now three and still very hard on everything. The Ragazzi is solid, still looks amazing. I have no doubt that it will withstand its 15 yr/3 child warranty.I think that the Ragazzi is well worth its price and am very happy to have a beautiful, safe, extremely well-built crib for this child and hopefully future siblings.

After a disaster with Bratt Decor we ended up ordering Ragazzi. We were very happy with it and found its quality to be consistent with our lofty expectations.
