Pros: The Construction, The Finish, The Style, The Delivery
Cons: Nothing

We shopped all over and finally decided on Pali. We choose the Rosalia crib in cherry and the 4000 combo, hutch and armoire in cherry. We bought from BUY BUY Baby in Paramus, NJ and had a wonderful experience. At first I was overwhelmed by all the choices and all the different prices.

I was tempted to go for some of the stuff from China and Indonesia because of the price, but if you check, the quality is not so good and the finish is always rough or dinged up to cover up poor workmanship.

In the end our decision to buy high quality furniture is going to really pay off. I am sure we will use our Pali furniture for our next child as well.

Just touch and compare the feel of Pali with anything else in the store and you can tell how carefully the product is made.

The construction has dovetailed drawers, solid tops and drawers. The crib and furniture has a silky smooth finish.

The Rosalia crib is beautiful and solid. WOW ! Made in Italy. I love it !

We purchased Pali in late April and it was delivered the 1st week of June. about 6 weeks. No problems.

I love showing off T's nursery.

Pros: Beautiful styling, solid furniture
Cons: none really - the price probably

We bought a Liza crib in cognac as well as Max change table last year for a local dealer. I wanted a sleigh style crib in a cherry or similar wood, and this seemed to fit the bill. We paid around $480 for the crib, which I thought was pretty well priced. Alot of those at BRU were in this price range if not more. I love that this crib can be turned into a toddler bed with the additional railing. We already have a spare full size bed, so we weren't interested in a convertible crib. The crib has a drawer underneath, which is handy for storing sheets, etc. I keep a piece of cloth over the items in the drawer just to keep out dust. I have absolutely no complaints. Our mattress in the crib is pretty snug, so it's hard to get the side up and down because of the matress, so I don't bother with putting the side up and down. I have no complaints either about the changing table, except the price. I paid $218 - which I felt was a bit pricey for a changing table, but I couldn't find anything else in a comparable finish. Both seem to be solid, well-made pieces of furniture.

Great Design - Poor Finish Quality, January 29, 2009

Pros: Great design attracted us to the Carrigan Series
Cons: Weak draw slides makes them uneven, finish is thin and easily damaged

I bought a crib & dresser set (Pali Carrigan Series) for my baby that is not even six months old. I thought that I should share that I find the quality of this furniture to be truly lacking. The drawers do not pull evenly and often stick. The espresso finish is really nothing much than a thin paint. I would have expected for over $1000 that this wood would have a deep lacquer that could withstand use. The edge of the dresser no longer has finish on it and the wood is so soft that it easily damaged. Another two years of use and this furniture will look too old for use. I should have spent a third of this price and bought a cheap set from a national chain and saved the difference for future purchases.

Pros: beautiful, rich colors, clean lines, sturdy hardware
Cons: you guessed it - the price

We have the Pali Lily crib in cognac from 2005. It was in stock at Lullaby Lane the weekend of their big sale - I think we paid $700 +tax. They were nice enough to store it for us in their wharehouse for 3 mos. until the nursery was ready.

This crib is sturdy and has held up very well for us so far. The hardware is tight fitting and the crib is rock solid. The drop side is smooth and quiet compared to many we tried at all price ranges.

My only complaint would be that the wood is just soft enough that the mobile bracket has left small mars/indentations on the surface of the rail. Thus the A-, rather than an A.

I would buy this crib again.

Good product but LACKS in Customer Service, January 15, 2008

Pros: Solid Furniture
Cons: Customer Service

I've owned the Rosalia crib since 2005 and have noticed that the screws were stripping. I contacted the customer service department to find out how to order a few extra parts.

First of all, they have a phone number but never answer it and they have a message that discourages people to call. They seem to encourage people to communicate via email.

After emailing, I got a response that they won't replace or sell individual screws or bolts, but I could purchase a complete Hardware Kit for $65. (that's alot of money for a couple of screws!) They also requested that I send them my credit card info via email (which I don't feel comfortable doing).

I like our crib, but would certainly warn anyone thinking of purchasing one in the future.
