Pros:
First time Mom, I assembled the Crib in about 30 minutes, so easy, so simple, to be tried 11/09
Cons:
Yet to be used this November 25 2009!

Bought the CaraMia Crib at Springy's on Barton Street, we wanted something that converts to a toddler's bed. We thought $299.00 was a good price! I love that it took me only about 30 minutes to put it together....by myself (@ 6 1/2 months pregnant)
We still haven't bought the Mattress, so I may have to make some height adjustments. It looks great, safe and feels sturdy and clean, following the instructions very well really helps...like tightening all the screws toward the end of the assembly....
I hope that it will truly be sturdy and safe for our baby.....and all babies!

I purchased the Cara Mia TAMMY 3-in-1 convertible crib (Royalty collection) from the Lullaby Lane warehouse sale for $299 (with regular price at $450). This crib is a steal even at $450, considering what I was prepared to pay for a Pali crib. To be fair, the "Forever Carmen" crib by Pali that I was looking at for about $600 ranks slightly higher on the style points, but I was mainly looking at the Pali cribs because of the sturdiness and the solid wood construction. I had compared the Pali cribs to the Babi Italia/ISSI line at Babies R Us, and none of them passed the "what if my baby decides to teethe on the railing" test (easily dentable wood). The one crib that wasn't easily dentable (Babi Italia, Ceriana Lifestyle Crib, $499) has a ton of glossy varnish on it to keep it dent-free, and I was only able to see it after asking a sales rep to move a mobile that had been hanging on the wood slats on the back of the crib and the varnish had started to peel away.Back to the Cara Mia Tammy Crib, if you're looking for a sturdy, well-built convertible crib for not a lot of money, I highly recommend this crib. Granted, Cara Mia doesn't have a whole lot to choose from, but I think the one that I purchased is simple and will go well with any nursery. Use the extra money you save to buy some really cool crib bedding!!As far as the one con that I have listed, because I had purchased the crib at a warehouse sale, I didn't have the directions, so I had to look for them on the website. My father-in-law and husband were able to put it together without directions in about an hour, so I guess it wasn't that difficult?
