Pros: Beautiful pieces. Hard beech wood.
Cons: Takes FOREVER to receive everything.

Ordered the 1000 Series of their Cocoon Line: crib, dressing station w/hutch and armoire on 7/14/07. Paid about $2500. Still have not received all pieces as of 10/10/07 and have been promised everything since last week of August. Company blaming a fire that occurred last year and Jan of this year in Chile. However, none of that info is on their website or made available until after you start to complain. I'm due in 16 days and still dont' have all my nursery items.

Pros: sturdy and elegant
Cons: noisy drop side

Elegantly and simply design cribs. Sturdy stands up to 1 year shaking the sides. The drop side is noisy when pulled up. Does and Can wake up baby.

Pros: available in Espresso
Cons: Quality and shipping time

I got a crib in October. The screws and holes did not lineup. One dresser drawer did not roll in and out. It was stuck shut. Baby's dream did not replace the dresser until February!

Pros: True Quality at Great Prices
Cons: That all cribs won't fit all parents' needs

Just as a suggestion, If you have never looked at the Baby's Dream Furniture, you really should take a moment to do so. Their multiple lines are true quality and they have cribs that can convert all the way up to an adult bed. I love their cribs and matching case pieces. I just thought I'd mention it to you in case you wanted to look at their site: www.babysdream.com/. It's life time furniture and well worth the money. I'm so glad I purchased the pieces I did.

As far as the problem with shorter parents, I recommend the Generation Next model. It's in the same family as Serenity (with the same exact sleigh design) but the only difference is it has a drop-gate which is helpful for shorter parents. It provides about 8 more inches to bend over and reach the baby.

One of the best investments we've made!, April 11, 2006

Pros: Sturdy, easy to use, never worried a minute!
Cons: a little hard to attach bumper b/c of chunky bars

I was given the Baby's Dream Generation Next Crib and Hi/Lo dresser. My father bought the floor models and recieved 10% off. He ended up paying $517.50 per item before tax. We chose this set b/c it met our requirements - solid wood throughout, sturdy construction, timeless style and an appearence that appealed to both my husband and me. We have been nothing but pleased with both pieces. We have been using them for over a year and have never had any trouble. The drawers pull out very smoothly and hold plenty for us. We will probably be purchasing the hutch attachment later this year since we are using it as a changing table less often.

My husband put together the crib in about 45 minutes. This was one of his first construction projects and he said that the instructions were very clear and easy to understand. It has never wabbled or felt unsturdy. Since our daughter has exceeded the hundredth percentile since birth and is not known for her gentleness, I feel like that's saying alot. I recently purchased standard teething pieces at a local baby store and they slipped on perfectly. She has tried to pull them off, but they are very snug and she has finally given up.

The only source of frustration I have with either piece is that b/c of a few chunky slats, it's difficult to attach our bumper. We have a Bannana Fish bedding set that I believe has standard length strings on the bumper. We made it work, but it is frustrating when we take it off to clean it and have to put it back on again. I would highly recommend these two pieces. We are looking forward to converting the crib as she grows. We feel confident that she'll be taking it with her to college when the time comes.
