Great 2nd car seat, June 10, 2005

Pros: Light, narrow and easy to travel with
Cons: No padding and the straps get tangled frequently

I guess you get what you pay for. At $40, this seat is great for the 2nd car that is not used very frequently. It has no padding and the straps get pretty tangled. However, we did take it to Europe for 2 weeks with our 12 month old. If fit great on the plane because it's narrow and at 10 lbs it was easy to transport. We did put a thick blanket underneath DD's bum on the plane so she could be comfortable for the 12 hour flight. Overall, it's a great travel seat but not for long rides/flights without some added padding.

Pros: Price, weight, easy installation
Cons: Not much padding, cover not very stain repellent

We use this as a second carseat in my husband's car, but it gets moved in and out of my mom's and his dad's cars from time to time. We also use it exclusively for travel because its so lightweight and fits in any rental car and installs so easily. It doesn't have much padding, especially compared to our main carseat which is a Britax, but we've gotten a lot of mileage out of it and our daughter has had no problem falling asleep in it and has not complained that its uncomfortable or it hurts. We also haven't had problems with the straps. Its been a good value for the money and I would recommend it as a second carseat or travel carseat.

Cheap but safe seat, December 4, 2005

Pros: Higher rearfacing weight limit than others
Cons: poor padding, difficult to adjust harness

I paid $35 for this as a 2nd seat in my mom's & husband's cars. It has a 35 lb rearfacing limit which is better than others so if you have a large baby or want to keep your kid rearfacing as long as possible then you may want to consider this seat. It is great for occasional use but is poorly padded and the harness adjuster is horrible. I can pull on it with all my weight and can barely tighten the straps. This is the best seat in this price range safety wise but I would not want to use it on a regular basis.

Great as a "second" seat, and when traveling, June 10, 2005

Pros: Light weight, easy to install, easy to get child in and out
Cons: Not much padding

I bought this carseat to have as a second seat in my husbands car. This was the 4th seat I tried in my Hyundai Elantra, and the only one that had a base narrow enough to really fit. It is a good, basic seat: easy to install and simple to operate. It weighs much less than the other seats I tried out, so it will be great for traveling, and I won't be concerned about having to install it in rental cars because it was so simple. One thing to point out: someone advised me to try installing with the seatbelt instead of the LATCH, and I did get a much better, snugger fit with the seatbelt.

Pros: Great size.
Cons: Straps are difficult to adjust.

I got this seat mainly for airplane travel to use instead of our large Evenflo Triumph. It doesn't have much padding to speak of but our son sits in it without complaining & looks pretty comfortable. It's very easy to install (without latch) but the straps can be difficult. You can't tighten or loosen the straps when they are fastened.
