Pros:
The Mobi-Cam monitor is essential in raising our infant.
Cons:
Occasional interference
|
|
This monitor, if your expectations are realistic and the usage conditions are reasonable, will comfort you with the visable knowledge of your child's safety and well-being. Monitors are generally wireless which means they MUST work using one type of wireless frequency or another. If your environment has interference on the frequency used... the problem is your environment, not the monitor. Interference can come and go depending on what is generating it and its usage... cordless telephones, microwaves, wireless computer networks, etc. (not just yours... but possibly your neighbor's as well). PLEASE have a realistic expectation and test the monitor once you get it home for compatibility with your environment. Yes, there are defective monitors... but most cases are bad environments and unrealistic expectations. My only issue has been that in 7+ months of use, twice interference has "locked up" my monitor's picture (rolling to the point you couldn't make out the image). In both cases, I took the camera/monitor to a family member's home and turned it on. The picture was fine there and also when I got back home.Overall, we couldn't live w/o our Mobi-Cam!

Pros:
None
Cons:
Didn't work - AT ALL and customer service HORRIBLE
|
|
Got this monitor and went to use it 3 months after purchase (first 3 months baby was in same room so didn't need it). Nothing but static and it wasn't a distance issue.
'
Tried calling customer service and told me since the product was 3 months old wasn't covered under warranty. No help or suggestions were given Found out that all wireless causes interference and if you live in a city environment - your neighbors wireless can interfere.

Pros:
No Pros
Cons:
Grainy picture, terrible volume, interference
|
|
Purchased this with the hope that it would be the perfect monitor. The picture was really grainy and we couldn't see the image in the screen. Also, when we ran our microwave the monitor would malfunction. The volume control was also horrible. I wouldn't recommend this product.
