Pros: digital and rechargable batteries
Cons: channels?

I mainly bought this monitor because of the digital technology and the rechargable battery. We have lots of cordless phones (900 mhz) so i didn't want to have problems. We were so excited to getting it going, that we didn't read the instructions about the official "setting up," and the two units were still able to connect. Just don't forget to charge the battery first. So far it has worked well, in our 3 story townhouse. The baby is on the third floor, and i can be on the first floor without getting interference. The volume can go up or down, and i like that you can also see lights if the baby cries. The parent unit has a convenient belt clip. With a full battery charge, the unit will last about 8 hrs. It beeps and flashes when the battery is low, and then i just put it in the docking station while keeping it on. Once I had some interference problems, but it was resolved when i used the channel button located on the unit in the baby's room. I didn't like having to go back into the baby's room to do this, but maybe all monitors have this set up. Also, I can't quite understand why there are channels if it's digital. I paid ~ $50 at BRU.

Pros: clarity, sound, range, ease of use, lightweight, tiny
Cons: Nothing!

We've been using the monitor non-stop for about 2 months, and it's unbelievable. The sound is crystal clear and picks up the tiniest movements. There is absolutely no static or interference from the multitude of electronics in the house. There has been no problem with range in our 3500 sqft, 2-story house and in the yard. I read tons of reviews online and thankfully have had none of the problems reported. The batteries last about 6 hours, but we have the dual parent-unit and keep one charging while using the other. At night we keep it turned on while docked on the charger.

I can't compare this monitor to others on the market; my only prior experience with monitors are the dinosaurs from 15-20 years ago, but I'm amazed at how tiny the receivers are, not to mention the clarity.

The monitor came from BRU where it retails for $89.

Pros: Digital; Clear & private signal; vibrations; lights; belt clip; batteries or plugin; good distance
Cons: None so far

I rarely review a product, but felt obliged to talk about my experience with the Graco iMonitor. After hearing so many bad reviews from many different sources, we spent a very long time researching and choosing which monitor we would get. Even though the iMonitor is a bit more expensive, we found it to be completely worth it due to the simplicity and reliability of it.

The iMonitor has many very carefully thought-out features. Some of them are not apparent just by using it! The obvious features are that it is digital, and has vibrations and lights. The belt clip is really nice if you are working outside. I've found the distance to be good, and haven't really pushed the limits of it yet to see how far it can go.

Here are some of the less obvious features that we discovered: Vibrations are configurable: you can set at what 'noise' level the vibrations trigger. This is helpful if you have white noise in your baby's room. The receivers use rechargeable batteries that are nice; the monitor itself typically plugs in but can also take AAA batteries if you want to move it around. All of the A/C adapters are interchangeable between the monitors & receivers, which is nice. Like most analog monitors, there are several channels that you can pick from in order to get the best distance/reception.

We are extremely happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone!

Clear sound, no interference, May 1, 2007

Pros: Never any static. Never hear your neighbors
Cons: Short battery life between charges

I have *never* heard any neighbors on their cordless phones or their baby monitors... and there are a *lot* in our neighborhood. There's never a scratch of static. When you unplug it to go "mobile" the battery doesn't last long. But it's an internal rechargable so it's easy to take care of. The only other gripe I have is when the power goes out... when the transmitter looses power the receivers beep. The transmitter does not turn back on when power returns. I have to go around the house... turn on the transmitter, then turn off and then on each receiver.

Pros: Very clear
Cons: Has lost frequency a couple times

This monitor works extremely well 98% of the time. I've had a couple experiences when it lost frequency and started beeping when I'm on the bottom level of our townhouse (baby's room is on the top). All in all, I would buy this again.
