The stroller that I hate to love, June 10, 2005

Pros: Comfy, easy to push, canopy, storage
Cons: Plasticky

I find the P3 to be plasticky - way too plasticky. But that's about the only thing that I don't like about it! My 33lb, 39" toddler is still very comfy in this stroller, and both my 6'4" husband and I (5'4") can push it comfortably. We took it to Disney in December and didn't regret our choice for a minute. The basket looks small but holds a ton, plus you can hang plenty of things from the handles without tipping the stroller. The snack tray is great and swings open to let DS climb in and out. The hood is large and offered great protection from the Florida sun. Plus, it is plush and offers an adjustable legrest, so is quite suitable for even the tiniest babies. The fold is easy, with a little practice, and relatively compact. Now, if only it were less plasticky!

Baby and Toddler friendly stroller, June 12, 2005

Pros: Other Mom's will envy you and great investment
Cons: Hard to fold and Plasticky looking

After spending a length of time researching, I finally bought the stroller when DS was a year old. I wish I had sooner. The P3 is much better investment that you can use right from infancy to toddler-hood. Our initial cheap stroller was disappointing in so many ways where the P3 was a cut above. The P3 steered well, reclined in 3 different positions including an almost horizontal position. Additionally, the canopy is adjustable and it can provide shade without spending the extra $$ on an add-on. Imagine being able to spend a whole day out with baby out and about with his dinning and bedroom. Eating in the indispensable snack tray and then reclining the sleeping baby for comfort. The size of the basket hasn't really bothered me though it took getting used to transitioning from my previous el cheapo large basket Combi.

The fold isn't the easiest on this stroller as you need two free hands. In comparison, my friend's Zippy folds up in a snap. Sometimes the unfolding of the stroller isn't as easy either as the handle bars need to be negotiated to snap in place. Another gripe is the appearance of the stroller. I guess I expect a bit more for a sticker price of $300. A little less plasticky perhaps. Although the red of the Metallica does help detract from the plasticky look of the stroller.

Overall, a thumbs up for this stroller. Don't wait as long as me to buy it as you can get more out of the stroller that I did. BUY IT!!!

Pros: Maneuverable, lightweight, baby loves it!
Cons: Can be hard to collapse

Great stroller, we paid ~ $260 from Babycenter.com. Definately worth the money, as we live in urban center and use it daily! Very maneuverable, easy to use immediately post-partem. Baby loves the stroller both on its own, and riding in the Peg car seat as well. The new "universal car seat adapter" seems cheap tho - it is a strap you place across the car seat. Otherwise fantastic stroller

Great all-around stroller, June 11, 2005

Pros: Great steering/comfortable for baby/holds car seat
Cons: Cup holder, a little heavy for lugging in/out of car

After a lot of research, I purchased the P3 in Synergy (a great fabric for warmer/sunnier climates). I have been happy with the purchase. The stroller is well-made, the sunshade is ample, the seat reclines, and it is easy to steer. I also think it is a beautiful stroller. Best of all, we could fit a car seat (Baby Trend Latch Loc) into the reclined seat with no problems--instant travel system w/o the headache of a travel system! Overall I think it is well worth the money!

That said, there are a few drawbacks to the P3: it is a little heavy for lugging in and out of the car, the basket is hard to access, the cup holder is small and useless (our cupholder eventually fell off!), and my husband (6') finds that even when the handles are adjusted for him, they are still a little too low.

But those aren't huge gripes: this is a great all-around stroller--this was the only stroller that we owned until our daughter was 14 months old (we purchased a SC Micro, which is a great complement to this stroller), and it has been great!

The Answer for all of your basic stroller needs!, August 20, 2005

Overall Grade   9.00/10  (9)

Pros: Slim fold, full recline, big basket, huge canopy, child tray
Cons: Steering is just "good", basket accessible from side/front

Bought from Baby Love in Sunrise, FL for $289 in Safari.

I got this stroller when my daughter turned ten months of age and I felt she no longer liked that she couldn't sit completely upright in my Peg Perego Venezia, and because I wanted something less bulky feeling and lighter weight. I resisted getting the P3 b/c I thought there wasn't enough difference in the weight b/w the Venezia and P3 to justify the purchase. Sooooooooo........I bought and returned NINE strollers before I caved and got the P3 and I LOVE it!!

I was looking for a stroller that had all the features of my Venezia (which I really love for the newborn days and first months when facing mama is so great).

I wanted: a big basket, huge hood (we live in Miami, FL), lighter weight and better steering than the Venezia, child tray (this was a must for me, but at the time, I didn't know about all the after market attachments I could have bought like the Twingles tray), roomy seat (DD is in the 90% for height and weight), and leg extension (this was essential b/c she really dislikes having her legs dangling), and of course, great quality.

I got EVERYTHING with the P3 and more-- even the basket is deceivingly big -- if you stuff it from the side, you will be shocked how much you can fit in there. I thought I would be annoyed having to go in to the basket on the side of the stroller, but it turns out it isn't even an issue AT ALL! The steering isn't "stellar" but unless you get a Mac or an all terrain, I think you will feel that the steering isn't super great. It also has adjustable handles which even though I am short and height is never an issue on strollers, it is a fabulous feature b/c when I load up the handles with shopping bags, I adjust the handles higher so I can push the stroller from a farther distance and not bang into the bags. It also has a buggy board for older kids (which will be great in the future). I prefer the P3 to the Zippy b/c of the adjustable handles and of course, the all important CHILD TRAY that folds right up with the stroller rather than having to carry a Twingles tray around. I found they steer about the same -- not the best if you are doing it one handed, but good enough to get through narrow aisles and turn any corners. :-)

This is my everywhere stroller -- to the mall, a fair, travel, on errands .... EVERYWHERE! It reclines flat enough that I can change my DD in it (so important!), and she sleeps in it all the time. I have used it as my high chair when there was none available or they were too gross, and it's always my preferred changing station. It folds long, but slim, so I can fit plenty of stuff in my VW Toureg trunk.

I will say that wouldn't use it for a newborn unless I got the Navetta basinett b/c I would want to face my baby. Also, I would NEVER put my car seat in the stroller to accomplish being able to look at my baby b/c it is bad for a baby to spend any length of time in a car seat (the angle of the neck is bad for development, and the inability to move the baby in different positions is one added factor in why babies get flat heads). Not to mention that it is just not as comfy for a baby to be stuck in the carseat instead of a plush stroller! I wouldn't want to be stuck in there, so why would I do that to my baby?

I would recommend this stroller in a heartbeat to anyone!
