Pros:
Light-Weight, Carry Strap, One Hand Fold
Cons:
Small Basket
|
|
I was in the market for an umbrella stroller and spent about an hour trying out different kinds at Buy Buy Baby. I first considered a different stroller (the Combi) than the Volo, mainly because I thought the Combi looked more comfortable than the Volo. This is until I put my son in the Volo and he really seemed to like it (he's 5.5 months). When I spoke to the salesperson, she mentioned that the Volo had the following advantages:
1. It is light weight
2. It has a shoulder strap to carry it
3. You can easily fold it with one hand, carrying baby in the other arm
4. You can adjust the sun shade down to protect baby when the sun is at a low angleI really liked the way it handled as well as all the advantages mentioned above. Unfortunately, they didn't have the color I wanted in the store, so I looked it up online and found it cheaper at babydealz.com (for $84). I bought it and the accessory pack which includes padding for the chair as well as a rain cover. I like the padding especially since my son is still small and because it is now colder, giving him a bit more protection. However, I like the fabric without the padding for Summer (my son always got too hot in the infant car seat in Summer). I like the small wheels as you can fit almost anywhere with this stroller, whereas I always seemed to bump into things with the larger stroller I have (part of a travel system).I had considered the Triumph, but it was a bit more expensive than the price of the Volo and accessory pack. And I didn't like the color combinations as much. The only downside I can see is that the straps are still too big for my son, but I'm sure he'll grow into them soon. The bag underneath is relatively small, but it is an umbrella stroller after all.

Pros:
Light, well made, nice sunshade (on 2005), tall handles
Cons:
Tippy, no legrest
|
|
I debated a lightweight stroller for months, before buying the 2005 Volo for my 15 month old. My husband and I love it, it is so lightweight, well made, easy to fold and carry, and my son likes to ride in it. We have a full featured Zooper stroller but this is exactly what we need at this age.I would like it a little better if it had some kind of legrest, mostly because my son isn't quite tall enough for his legs to hang over the seat properly. You can hang a small bag or two from the handles while the child is seated but the stroller isn't heavy enough to support anything when the child is out. This is a great super lightweight stroller for taller people. My husband (6'4") likes it better than anything else we have tried. We don't need a recline, so this stroller is perfect for our needs right now.

Pros:
superlight, dream to push , clean simple design
Cons:
tips easily, no recline (not good for naps)

I have bought sold several (okay, more than 10) strollers for my three children, and this one os one of my favorite. I bought it as my urban city subway/bus stroller (NYC), and now it's my car stroller for the quick trips to the store. First of all, It is so light. I LOVE it. I can hold the baby and a diaperbag in one hand, and lift this stroller and open with the other hand while keeping an eye on my others.
I've pushed both my 15 lbs 7 months old and my 44 lbs 5 year old, and it really pushes quite well ON A SMOOTH surface. Better than my Maclaren Techno, which was surprising. Since this is a quick, in to the store and out stroller, I really don't need a recline, so that's fine with me. I usually hand the shopping bags from the handle, thus the small basket does not bother me. It does tips without a child inside, so be careful when you unload your stuff!
I also love the simple, pared down design. I have carbon (blk), and I can't be happier.

Pros:
So easy to steer.
Cons:
No sunshade

Great stroller when you have multiple erronds to run which require taking a stroller in and out of a car. Not good for a newborn b/c there is no recline. Steering is a dream. Could use a bigger basket underneath.

Pros:
Stroller is so lightweight.
Cons:
Difficult to manuever on uneven surfaces!

My toddler loves this stroller. She gets in and out on her own, has a place to put her feet and has a wonderful time on short trips. Steering can be a problem outside on rougher surfaces. For me, it's so lightweight. When she decides it's time to walk, I can carry the stroller.
