Pros:
Easy all-around use, attractive, versatile, sturdy & comfy
Cons:
Poor one-handed steering
|
|
I used this from newborn to toddlerhood, and am still loving it. It's very pretty, and it folds up - and shakes out - in basically one motion. It's easy for me to lift and plop into the car, and my 13-month old daughter, who would much rather run around these days, stops complaining once we get moving in it. I've clumsily bumped it up flights of stairs (with a 25-lb baby) and been convinced it was going to fall apart, but it's still in great shape. I have on occasion hit my feet on the wheels, but I just adjust my stride and it's not a problem. (I'm 5'3".) My 6'-tall husband, though, has never had this experience. The basket is not huge, and there aren't cupholders or snack trays (and I've yet to find a cupholder that works well with it.) These things don't matter very much to me; my only real gripe is that I have a very hard time steering it one-handed, and I wish that were different, but I wouldn't give up the ease of folding and unfolding for one-handed steering. I spent a lot of time researching strollers, and I'm glad I settled on the Zippy. So far, it's been perfect for us. All three of us love it.

Pros:
Easy to fold
Cons:
Small basket
|

This is my favorite all around indoor stroller. When I was first shopping, many people tried to convince me that I should buy the Mac Techno but I always had trouble folding it. Not the case with the Zippy. I can do it very easily with one hand. It is also lightweight enough that I can get it in and out of the trunk without problem. Despite the two handles, it can be manuevered with just one when necessary. Some complain that there is no cup holder or snack tray but that has never been a problem for us. On the negative side, the basket is small and difficult to access. Also, we once had a squeaky wheel but a spray of WD-40 fixed it. At 20 months, our very large son still rides in it comfortably. We know there were less expensive options but we've never regretted our purchase.

Pros:
Easy open/closed, great looking, comfortable
Cons:
Handles pretty short, small basket

Paid about $230 for Zippy two years ago. Love the stroller for ability to take a carseat snugly, open and close easily, very hardy. We've travelled a lot on planes with this and love how you can open and close in seconds, and throw carseat in (with infant, of course). Never a ding and it's been manhandled quite a bit. Easy to drive, although one-handed steering isn't fantastic. Comfortable, non-bumpy ride for child. I don't like the short, non-adjustable handles, and I do kick the wheels a lot, which makes this not my favorite stroller for long walks. But for travel, mall, short (like a mile or so) walks it's great, and I'd buy it again.

One hand fold, weight, sun shade folds to napper bar
Cons:
The wheels squeek a lot - use WD-40

I love my Zippy (2004). I wish it had the features of the 2005 (I really miss the drink cup when I am exercising with my son in the stroller). I also wish it had a snack tray, but we purchased a removable one that works fine. I love the one-hand fold feature. I have HAD to use that on at least 10 occasions since my son was born 16 months ago. I loved being able to put the Snugride infant seat right in the Zippy when my son was small. I recommend this stroller to all my friends. I LOVE this stroller!
