Pros:
Light & relatively easy to fold
Cons:
Storage lacking & recline mechanism is awful
|
|
We bought the Savvy Soho (Carolina Sky) from BRU for $90. My wife is 4'11", so the handle height and light weight were attractive. In the store, I didn't think it was a problem, but I discovered that when I walk taking larger steps, my feet hit the rear wheels. And I'm only 5'6". The only way I can comfortably take long steps is by hunching.The folding mechanism is relatively easy, however, it took us a while to figure out that the front wheels have to be hanging a particular way (granted, the way that they'd naturally hang given the weighting) before you can actually successfully fold and lock the stroller. However, it's very easy for these wheels to be turned slightly so as to interfere with the locking. Very frustrating when you've got a wailing baby, or it's 15 degrees out. The storage, while noted as roomy in the Baby Bargains book, turns out to be lacking. Because of the support that runs across the space and the opening, I can't even easily get a very small diaper bag in -- and I mean small. I can't imagine folks who need larger bags getting it in at all. Our biggest beef is with the recline mechanism. While the stroller does recline quite far, and our son can sleep reasonably comfortably laying down, the seat cannot stay up using only the provided mechanism. It's basically a glorified cord lock, like you'd find on your winter jacket's hood string. And it doesn't hold as well as those. It continually loosens until the child is in full-recline. At its tightest point, the seat is at a 30 degree angle, which for our son, is way too reclined. Before he could sit well on his own, he wanted to be much more upright. So we've resorted to pulling the seat up past the glorified cord-lock's limit, tightening the cord, and either 1) tying the cord off by hand, or 2) adding a binder clip just past the cord-lock to help increase friction. It works as long as the binder clip doesn't come loose. For an otherwise average compact stroller, the recline mechanism marks the stroller down a couple more notches.I would not recommend this stroller unless your child enjoys being reclined, or if you're mechanically inclined to modify the stroller to your needs.

Pros:
lightweight, easy to fold and carry
Cons:
storage basket
|
|
DC had outgrown his carrier so I sadly had to look for a replacement for our Snap-N-Go. We have a Graco Coachrider hand me down for neighborhood walks but I wanted a lightweight stroller for air travel and for trips to the mall.PROS:lightweight, easy to fold/unfold and the carry strap is very convenient. recline is pretty deep so DC can comfortably nap. has a 5-point harness which is a must for squirmy boys CONS:storage basket is tiny and cannot accomodate a diaper bag. i attached link-a-doos on either side of the handle to allow me to attach store bags to the link-a-doos (this also serves as a pinch-hit toy if you forgot one). VERDICT:if you are looking for light, easy to fold/unfold stroller for strolling on smooth surfaces this is the stroller for you!

Pros:
Very lightweight, steers well, carseat snaps in secure
Cons:
Short handle, minimal storage difficult to access
|
|
Things I LOVE:* Easy to fold
* Small and compact when folding
* Comes with a boot and a carrying case
* Lightweight
* Great one handed steering
* Great "Look"
* When using with the Combi Connection Carseat, it really seems to snap in securely.Things that need improving:* The handles are short--we are tall me 5'9" and DH 6'3". the store when we tested it, it seemed okay. Now that we are using it for walks and everyday use, we feel how short it is. The design makes it difficult to use the extenders (although I am still looking). We have already talked about getting another stroller in the spring (DS 6 weeks).* I didn't think storage was going to be an issue for me but when the seat is reclined, you have about 2 inches to access the basket.* That isn't that much of an issue though since the basket is so small that it really can't hold anything other than little stuff (toys, blanket, etc...)

Pros:
light weight, fold up small, convient for smaller stroller
Cons:
short handles, no tray in front, BASKET IS A JOKE
|
|
I had a hard time buying a stroller. I did not know what I wanted or needed (1st baby). I finally went with the Combi. Pushing it in the store the handles felt fine with longer walks the handles feel short and I'm only 5'5". My husband has to walk beside the stroller to push it. the handles need to be longer and angled more to the back. Also for longer walks I have noticed the stroller seems best on the sidewalks, does not go in the grass very well, much better as a mall crawler inside stroller. Small enough for crowded areas and easy to carry. I also would like a front tray, no place to but treats. I also purchased a cup holder for me as the stroller does not have any where to hold bottles or cups. As for the basket don't even try to put your diaper bag there it won't fit. Bottom line glorified umbrella stroller. I paid around $100 not sure of the exact price

Pros:
Very easy to push and turn one handed
Cons:
The basket and handles make it terrible for shopping
|
|
We registered for this stroller for a variety of reasons. I love how easily it pushes and turns, especially one-handed. It is light, folds easily and I like the color. What I did not realize about it before I bought it are two things that make it terrible for shopping. The handle is hard to hang anything from (I know you're not supposed to, but who doesn't?) And there is a bar right through the middle of the basket. That was a terrible idea. It is such a pain to get anything out (or into) the basket - especially if the baby is asleep and you're trying to not wake her! In retrospect, I would not purchase this stroller again because I only ever use it when we shop or have long outings, like to the zoo, where I need a basket and handles to hang merchandise from.
