Pros:
higher weight limit than most umbrella strollers, reclines
Cons:
canopy and stroller fold-up not self-explanitory

We love our Chicco Capri. We've had it since May 2004 and it's been with us for trips to the mall/store, to the zoo, in airports and on 2 roundtrip international flights (plus many more domestic flights), among other places. Since the other posters have mentioned folding up the stroller, I'll say that at first I had a hard time with this too, but all you have to do is slide the red button under the crossbar by pushing it down and out a bit. Yes, this takes 2 hands, but I have not found it to be cumbersome at all, and I am usually very picky about such things. We also figured out the secret to keeping the canopy on. Before we would get frustrated bc when we had the canopy down it would slide off the frame. We figured out that the frame has bendable joints on the ends. So you're supposed to bend the joints back to keep the canopy from sliding off when it's in the "off" position - the instructions really should be more explicit about this important detail. I would agree that the basket is small and relatively difficult to access - but at this price I'm just glad to have a basket at all. FWIW, we have no problem fitting all of the following in the basket - toddler size jacket or blanket, bottle of water or sippy, snack. The canopy has zipped mesh pockets on both sides for mama's cell phone and wallet or a map or whatever. We travel light and have no problems with basket/storage. I love the look of the stroller - bright. Also really like that this umbrella stroller reclines - not easy to find in an umbrella stroller at this price. I would agree that the plastic clip is not always easy. I am surprised to see a reviewer say that the handles are short. The handles are much taller than most umbrella strollers - at least based on a quick comparison at BRU. After a years worth of pretty heavy use (and abuse from the airlines), I've noticed that the fabric is fraying a bit near the front wheels. We have definitely gotten our $50 out of this stroller and would highly recommend it to anyone who asked us.

Pros:
light weight, easy to fold, handles are higher than most.... (I could go on)
Cons:
small storage
|
|
I had a carseat/stroller frame then jumped to this stroller. It was nice cause I could use it early on. It reclines a bit and has 5 point restraints. It pushes smoothly and has higher handles than most. I put my daughter in it at about 3 months old. It has a small storage compartment but I blame that on it being an umbrella stroller. I figure if I wanted storage, I'd use my bigger bulkier stroller. I can hang my handy dandy little diaper bag over the handles and viola... off we go!

Pros:
Lightweight
Cons:
I can't push it without kicking the rear wheels.
|
|
I put this on my baby registry without trying it out in person first. It was about $50. I was looking for something lightweight to use for commuting around the city but I can't walk behind it normally without kicking the rear wheels. I'm 5'7", so either the handles are too short or the wheel placement is too narrow -- and no, I don't have abnormally large feet - 8.5! It's difficult to fold up too, and impossible to do it one-handed. Also, the sun canopy/visor is too small to be useful. At 1:00 in the afternoon I could not adjust it to keep the sun out of my baby's face.

Pros:
Basket and canopy; maneuvers well
Cons:
Short handles and canopy can slip off when not in use
|
|
I registered for the Chicco Capri because I wanted something a little better than the cheapie umbrella strollers, but didn't see the need for a $150 one. For $50, I've been very happy with it. It maneuvers very well, and I like that it has a canopy and a basket, and for a relatively inexpensive stroller, I think the quality of both is fine. The canopy slips off it's frame when folded back, and the handles are a little too low, but from what I hear, this is pretty standard for umbrella strollers unless you go up to the pricier ones. These are the only problems I have with this stroller. If you can afford something like a Maclaren, I'd go that route for the height of the handles alone, but overall, I would recommend the Chicco Capri.
