Pros:
one finger handling, style, comfort, stability, bassinet
Cons:
kind of a pain for suburban in and out of car errands
|
|
We bought this stroller when we lived in Chicago where my son was born this winter. I LOVED it. we would walk miles every day. he slept so comfortably in the bassinet, was so snuggly in there with blankets, that it was a blessing for me to be able to take him out and get him to sleep. it was great for walking everywhere, and we kept it in the vestibule of our apartment (we were on ground floor). well, we moved this summer to The Woodlands, TX, the essence of suburbia. Because it is Texas in the summer, we haven't been doing too much walking and the stroller is a bit of a pain when i have a number of errands at different places and have to just run in and out. i end up just taking the baby in or out of the carrier and leaving the stroller sometimes. not a big deal at all, but if you have to lug stuff besides the baby, you will have to take the 30 seconds to put the stroller together. as i write this, i changed the rating because it is not a big deal to spend 30 seconds and to complain about this makes me seem so lazy!

Cons:

We got this as a present, so didn't have to pay for it (...!) and it's been wonderful. If I had to buy it, I would because it's a great investment and will last for a few years/few children. We live in an urban area of Dallas and it's been great to take on a stroll or to go shopping with. I like the fact that "feels" substantial and not flimsy or lightweight like the other cheaper strollers. It's amazingly easy to just fold it up and put it in the trunk. It took a bit of practice (do it inside while the baby is napping!) but once you get the hang of it, it really takes about two seconds to just hold the button and fold it up/unfold it, flip it open - the trick is to make sure you put your foot between the two axles so that they don't lock up . I'm 5 ft tall and not exactly strong, but this is really easy. We use it on shopping trips with our infant car seat - the Peg Perego Prima Viaggio - and you can get the adapters for these for about $40. Saves having to lug the two separate bits around. I love the parasol to keep the sun out of the baby's face, I loved the bassinet when DD was tiny, I love the seat now that she can stretch out, and we can hang toys on the bar to keep her occupied. I love that it's going to last through her toddler years I love that you can have the seat facing forwards or backwards. I love, love, love it.Only thing I would say is that it does take up room in the car. But any stroller does, I suppose.
