Pros:
Comfortable, telescopic handlebar, rear facing, big basket
Cons:
2-piece fold, fleece gets dirty easily (but is washable)
|
|
When compared w/ the Quinny Buzz (which we had and sold), the Cameleon is far superior... comfortable, easy to open and close (though the 2-part fold's not the best), shock absorbers create an amazingly smooth ride over bumpy NYC sidewalks and curb, and most importantly, rear and forward facing options allow me to spend quality time w/ DB when we're out . This is definitely not a good travel stroller, but the best for around town.

Pros:

Cons:

I really hesitated plunking down the money for this stroller. But since we live in a city with a good public transit system (most subway stops have elevators), don't drive much (maybe once a month), and walk everywhere, we were able to justify the purchase of the Bugaboo. It has my child sitting up higher than most other strollers would. It is very easy to wheel around, handling all city surfaces easily. My son still falls asleep very easily in it and can stay asleep for at least an hour--the 180-degree incline is great. The rain hood is a great accessory, too. And the basket underneath holds a surprisingly large amount of groceries! (I didn't get the Bugaboo footmuff--I thought it wasn't good value. As my child grows bigger I preferred something that provided a bit more room at the feet.)I knew it would be a big item, and thus can't really complain that it doesn't fold easily for when our days' adventures are done. That would make this the absolutely perfect stroller! But as is, it occupies much less space than a jogging stroller (our second choice, when we were still trying to pick a stroller) would. I highly recommend this to parents who live in cities who don't do a lot of getting in and out of vehicles and walk everywhere!

Pros:
Versatility, design, manouverability
Cons:
price, folds by splitting into 2 pieces, accessories have to be purchased separately

This is a ridiculous amount to spend on a stroller, there is no doubt about it. We were given it, and were a little shocked at the generosity. However, since we have it have it, here's my review - it is AMAZING.Completely versatile, yet lightweight, there has not yet been a setting we could not use it for. It comes with mosquito net, raincoat, and canopy, we then purchased the breezy canopy and the sunshade (both well worth the cost). The other big benefit is the bassinet - you can use this system from birth until the child grows out of it, moving from the bassinet to the seat when able. (Our baby even slept in the bassinet until she was 6 weeks old, then transitioned to a crib, thus saving us the cost of a separate bassinet). And it looks great - people always compliment me on it.To be more specific - the seat has three positions, so you can have the child in a horizontal position to sleep, semi reclined, or fully upright. Baby can face you or face out, and the chassis can have small wheels forward (for pavement) or big wheels forward (for rough terrain). All these adjustments can be done with a quick click, with the child in the stroller. The handle can be folded down, which essentially turns the stroller into a seat, particularly good for restaurants/ food courts without highchairs. We also purchased the car seat adaptor - with another click you can load in the infant seat and not disturb a sleeping baby. The under carriage has a roomy drawstring bag that fits a lot, and doesn't spill everything out once the stroller is folded. The whole thing folds up easily and fits into the trunk of my 2001 Prius. (Admittedly, there is not a whole lot of room to spare!)The steering is fabulous, and I now know from using other people's strollers on vacation etc, that this is a highlight of the bugaboo. You can steer single handed, and turn on a dime. It can tackle any and all terrains, and my husband is amused by how good the shock absorption is for a baby carriage. The fold is easy, but does take two hands, and does split into two pieces. This makes it a terrible stroller for airport travel, as you have to gate check two pieces, and if they lose or damage one you are really in trouble. The other fantastic thing is the coverage of the canopy. We live in Phoenix, and I would invest almost any amount to protect my daughter from the sun. The canopy (and the breezy canopy - same shape but with mesh sides for ventilation) pull down low and provide excellent sun protection is almost any seat position. There is also an after market sun shade which can attach to the foot end and meet the canopy midway, thereby giving 100% coverage.I'm not sure if we would have spent the money ourselves, but I now believe it would be worth it. This may be the only stroller you will need to buy (except if you travel), and it takes you through every possible situation with ease. I love this stroller!

Pros:
Beautiful, euro styling, great handling brilliant colors
Cons:
Very long takes up too much trunk space, big tires,2 pc fold
|
|
I honestly do not understand why people love this stroller this much!I bought it after all the " hype" over it and was sorely disappointed.First of all the stroller is great looking! I love the brilliant colors and also it does not look like the boring gracos out there! It also turns on a dime great handling! But
in my case The cons seemed to outweight the pros.......
First of all it is heavy and very hard to assemble due to the 2 pc fold even 3 mths after a C section I started having backaches just trying to get it together while baby cried in the car! You need both hands and at least 5 mins of extra time to go this while in some cases such as quick grocery trips this may not be possible! Also the back tires are Huge and are a pain to maneuver in small stores even like Gymboree and have had many a sales associate stare at it! One problem was I could not get it easily in and out of the car as I have a mid sized sedan (BMW 3 series) so you also need a huge truck to tote this thing as well as the length of the seat is substantial.
I think this is a good stroller if you walk outside as it handles really well, but for the average Walmart or Grocery store trip or travel you are better off having a simple stroller that opens and closes without so much fuss or wasting precious time!I have found many Bugaboo owners resort to buying other light weight strollers for travel or quick trips so I don't really understand the utility of a $900 stroller that can't be used too often. In my case I had to sell it after 2 mths as I could not bear the backaches from stooping over this stroller for 5 mins just to put it together!

Pros:
Comfortable ride, bassinet feature, great tires for grass, off roading.
Cons:
The seat cant recline to laying down without being in the shape of a seat.
|
|
I love my Cameleon and reccommend it highly. The bassinet is so much better for a newborn than a snap and go with a carseat. This gives the baby much more flexibility. The tires are great, we go walking on trails and never have a problem. The only thing I wish was different was that when you recline the seat so the child can lie down, the seat is still in a sitting up position, it doesn't let the child lie flat. My son would never nap in this stroller. Also, it's not so easy for people like Grandma to open and close. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat though.
