Pros:
Lots of features for the price.
Cons:
Side rail is VERY noisy and doesn't always, "click" well.

I got the Sorelle Lana crib based on positive reviews on the baby bargains forum (funny, that now there are so many negative reviews). I admit, we bought it sight unseen, but had no choice, since we live in a rural area that doesn't carry this brand. We paid about $230 shipped (I think). We were supposed to get the wooden slats, but ended up with the metal spring support. The crib is rather crude looking, not as elegant and nicely finished as a simmons we had borrowed from a friend (see my review of the simmons crib), BUT it is nice that this crib has an storage drawer underneath (although I wish they would have put a wood board to cover the top, so wasn't open directly to the mattress springs... gets dusty) and capability to be a toddler bed. The only problem is the toddler bed looks like it will be kind of high up from the floor, so I do not know how well it will work when it is time for our son to transition to the toddler bed, esp since he is on the petite side. The most annoying part of this crib is that the side rail that goes up and down is VERY noisy, it makes the entire crib shake and you have to be very careful to double check that it is latched when you lift up the rail, there have been times, where it didn't seem to catch on one side and the rail could have slid back down to the lowered position, posing as a falling risk for a toddler. We got the natural color, which is very nice, it also comes with casters (which my DH had some difficulty fitting into the holes), and in my opinion this crib is VERY heavy. Overall, this crib is OK for the amt of $ we paid, but I don't think I would recommend it to anyone, since I have my own issues with it and it seems others have had a lot of CS and QC problems with it. There are better cribs out there. BTW, this crib is made in Latvia, I had orginally thought it would be an italian made crib, so it caught me off guard when we recieved it. Maybe that is why the quality isn't as good.

Pros:
looks good, drawer underneath
Cons:
there are only 3 levels for the mattress
|

I have the Rosa Pine crib and like the look and functioning of the crib. I don't have any problems with the drop side like other posters have mentioned, nor did we have problems with the setup of the crib. I also have the wooden slats which have worked fine for us. The only thing I have come to dislike is that there are only 3 levels for the mattress. Two high and one low that is the level of the toddler bed. I wish there was another level in between because the middle level is up to my daughter's middle when she stands up and the low one is so low to put her in at night since she doesn't lay down by herself.

Cons:

I bought the Sorelle Rita Bella crib from BabyAge.com for $230, including shipping. I specifically wanted a crib with a mattress spring support and bought an extra firm mattress, thinking the springs would give a little extra "give" without placing my baby on a dangerously soft sleeping surface. When the Rita Bella arrived, I was quite confused. The cheaply printed picture instructions had no accompaning text, but quite clearly showed a spring support. However, the crib had shipped with a rigid wooden slatted support. I double checked the BabyAge.com website and, after some searching, found the Sorelle website. Both described the Rita Bella as having a spring support.
I called Sorelle to find out what had happened. Each time I tried to speak with someone, it was a nightmare. Everyone was rude and dismissive and seemed mostly eager to get me off the phone. Numerous messages were not returned. Finally, by demanding to speak with someone higher up, I finally reached someone who identified himself as the head of the company. He told me that I should be grateful that they had "upgraded" my crib, and that if I didn't like the slats, I could pay to have the entire crib shipped back to BabyAge.
He then promised to speak again with me in a few days - and that's the last I ever heard from Sorelle. The crib is okay - one of the slats was broken when it shipped but we glued it together. The side rail is noisy when it pops into place. All in all, it is a serviceable piece of furniture, but I would NEVER buy from Sorelle again. The risk of something going wrong is too high, and I know from experience that they will do absolutely nothing to fix it.
By the way, BabyAge was stunned to hear about the change to the cribs - Sorelle never bothered to notify their retailers. And the man I talked to insisted that metal springs were dangerous and banned in Europe, and that was the reason for the change to wood - so it is very interesting that Sorelle has now gone back to the metal springs after a customer outcry. The story changes every time! Stay away from Sorelle!

Pros:
Looks nice
Cons:
The drop side is VERY hard to move
|
|
We bought Sorelli Lana crib finished in white in 2006 from Baby Furniture Warehouse. The crib is made of nice wood, not bulky, and looks really nice. It worked fine at the beginning but we weren't using the drop side at all then. The troubles began when we lowered the mattress to the lowest level. First of all we realized that the metal spring support actually doesn't line up. We dissassembled the crib (as being told so by BFW), and put it back together, still they didn't work. Secondly and most importantly, the side rail makes too much noise everytime we move it up and down and it is really very hard to move, it makes the entire crib shake. And yes, we tried to spray PAM on the rails to make it move smoother. One hand release is soo NOT happening with this crib. Last night when I picked up our baby to give her a soothing hug, I couldn't lower the side down in order to put her back in the crib. Holding her in one arm and struggling with the rest of my body to put that stupid side down frustrated me so much that after 5 sweaty minutes I called my husband for help. As you can imagine the whole thing made the baby wide awake. We are buying another crib before this Sorelli Lana drives me totally crazy. What a waste of money!

Pros:
smooth/quiet drop side, sturdy/durable hardwood, attractive!
Cons:
Assembly instructions
|
|
I purchased the Sorelle Glenda crib in Cherry finish and am very pleased with the quality. It has all of the features we wanted including one drop side, adjustable height, bottom drawer, converts to a toddler bed, made of Beechwood and manufactured in Italy. It was important to us to not purchase a crib made in the far East in order to ensure that the crib for our baby wasn't made by someone else's babies where child labor laws don't always exist. We also wanted a wood that is more durable than Pine. It's a very attractive crib. The instructions that came with it were a bit challenging to use. One of the parts was mislabeled on an illustration and they didn't have the steps in the best order. We figured it out eventually. The drawer front was not covered in plastic in the shipping box, which resulted in some minor scratches, but we don't mind because it's close to the floor and you can't really see it. The rest of the crib arrived in excellent condition. We haven't been using it that long, so I can't speak to how will hold up over time, but I feel that it is very sturdy. We purchased it from www.jdee.net for $350. They sell it for a higher price, but we found it cheaper else where. I had read positive reviews of the customer service at www.jdee.net and wanted to buy from them and they have a price matcher service where they will attempt to match a price if you find a product they carry cheaper. They matched my price and feel that I got a quality crib at a reasonable price.
