I bought a Bellini Crib for my son. It was almost $900 with taxes and delivery. When the crib was set up. It wasn't set up properly and the drop rail got stuck. The store offered to send someone out the same day to fixed it. That didn't work with my schedule so someone was at my door at 8 am to fix it. The crib I wanted was in stock so I didn't have to wait on over seas delivery. Looking back on my purchase, $900 for a crib is an outrageous price. As a mom, I have rarely looked at the crib. I only look at my angel in the crib. The stain on the wood also looks slightly different than when I bought it. I am not sure if I like the change but my husband likes it. What I will say is that since the repair on the drop side, I haven't had any problems with it. The drop side goes down smoothly. The wheels make it easy to move the crib. It is a bit wide. The crib won't fit through our doorway which sucks. Having said that, I have bought a range of baby products from low end to high end and I have had trouble with strollers and car seats. This was high end and I have never had a problem with it. It was expensive yes. Maybe $400 cribs work just as well.I can only say that my son is very comfortable. I was able to drop the mattress as my son got older and have had no problems with the drop side since the initaly problem was fixed. I like things that work as they should and this works as it should but the price was steep.

Pros:
Beautiful furniture, durable, fabulous large changing table
Cons:
Having major problems with manufacturing/delivery of cribs
|
|
I ordered an crib, a changing table/dresser and a bookcase from Bellini in early March - the store owner guaranteed delivery by my son's due date in late May. All pieces were delivered early EXCEPT the crib. Apparently bellini is having problems with manufacturing keeping up with demand with their cribs - it is now early July and no crib yet, and no idea from the store (despite multiple calls) as to when (if?) the crib will ever arrive. The store can't even tell me when they are expecting their next "box" of cribs to arrive from the manufacturing plant! And my son is now eight weeks old.The store owner has been great in terms of customer service, providing a loaner bassinet, apologizing profusely for the problem, etc. But unfortunately it's impossible for me to recommend Bellini given this problem. Nursery furniture is a "time sensitive" item!Seeing as our total furniture order from the store was over $3000k, this is ridiculous. gorgeous furniture, and the large changing table surface is great with a wiggly baby, but useless if they can't get all the pieces to you on time!Hopefully they'll get these issues sorted out sometime soon, and I'll get my crib before my son runs out of room in the loaner bassinet they gave me!

Beautiful Crib
Cons:

As a first time mom, the Danny crib was the crib that I fell in love with. Despite the cost which was nearly $1000 with delivery and tax, I bought the crib. My son is now 6 months old and I will say it wasn't worth the money. Do I love the crib. I do. I still think it is one of the most beautiful cribs that I have seen but I only think about that when I look at the crib which is rarely. What I look at is the smiling or screaming little person inside of the crib. When a crib has the linens and bumpers and everything else on them then it really become irrelevant how ornate and pretty the crib is. I had one issue with the crib one of the wheels wouldn't roll and the Bellini store sent someone out the next day to fix the problem. Hopefully, I will have another child and who can use the crib but if I could take it back I would have bought a crib that was half the cost.

I ordered +$3,000 of furniture in September, from the downtown Chicago store, recognizing it would take 12-14 weeks for delivery. I called every few weeks to ensure order processing was moving along...each time, I was told to relax and that everything was moving along smoothly. Mid-December, I was told all items had arrived except for one. When I asked for delivery of what was in, I was told they'd prefer to wait and do all at once. I called back 3 days later and the phone just rang and rang....Suspicious, I tracked down a number for the franchisor and confirmed the store closed down abruptly. Not only did I have to deal with getting a refund for the 50% down from the credit card, but I had to begin the entire furniture-buying process again. I will not have any furniture when I deliver in a couple of weeks thanks to the lack of honesty and integrity of the franchisee in Chicago.

Pros:
Beautiful furniture
Cons:
Horrible Customer Service
|
|
My husband and I bought our nursery furniture from Bellini. We chose it because of the quality and, quite frankly, the customer service at our store. Well, do we regret our decision. First of all, our daughter came a month early. We called the store and asked that the delivery of the furniture be expedited due to this unforseen situation. No go. They were no help at all and my daughter's furniture was not there when she got home. Second, and worst, like another customer our crib rail was not installed properly
(we didn't realize this at the time) and about 5 months later it would not go up and down at all. We called our store and got no answer for days. Finally decided to go there and the store had just shut down. Out of business. They left a number for us to call and so we did. My husband and I both spoke to a man named Irving (the acutal owner of Bellini) who could not have been ruder to us. Basically told us that despite their 1 year warantee there was nothing that they would do. He explained to us what he THOUGHT was wrong with the crib and how to fix it but clearly told me that there was no way he would honor the warranty. They do not stand behind their product or their warranty--and were quite rude in letting us know this. I do not recommend this store because if something happens and the store closes down you are out of luck!!
