Pros:
Portable, easy to use, sunshade and light weight
Cons:
Putting the sunshade together
|
|
Graco Snugride - $99.50 at babycatalog.com and got 10% off as a member (purchased in June 2004). We bought the Snugride with the sunshade and it's been a blessing to have it. The sunshade not only shades baby from the sun, but keeps baby dry in the rain/snow. Putting the sunshade together was a pain because you had to thread the plastic arms through the tiny sleeve. But once it's put together, it's done. Also purchased the Snap N Go stroller ($50 at Babies R Us, June 2004) and this was a dream to have. Easy to use and light weight. Would recommend them together.

Pros:
price, 5pt harness
Cons:
grrrr rear adjusters! Low height/weight limit
|
|
Decent seat for the money. Would be even better if all models had a 5pt harness and front adjusters. Skip the head pad, rolled receiving blankets are safer.

Pros:
Easy to install and Variety of colors
Cons:
Softness, Some Recalls, quickly out grow
|
|
This is a great car seat that has many prices. I went with the most expensive snugride and never used the extras. My DS outgrew the car seat early which is one of the negatives features of this car seat. I liked that the Snugride has been around and many people use it. When buying the Snugride from Babies R Us they discouraged me since they said the Graco has had some recalls. I have never had a problem with recalls on this car seat.

Pros:
Ease of to put in and take out, unlike Evenflo Portabout.
Cons:
none
|
|
I had the Evenflo Portabout and actually went and bought a Graco Snugride after 2 months with the Portabout. Unlike the Evenflo, the Graco is easy to take out of the car, easy to carry, baby looks more comfortable. I love this carseat.

Pros:
Comfy for baby, Nice fabric choices
Cons:
Twistable straps
|
|
I used this seat for both of my DD's and it has held up well. It was easy to use and snaps easily into the carseat base. I always felt that they were safe in it.
