Overall we have had great success with this mattress. I bought it after reading about it in Baby Bargains. I was disappointed that I ended up having to order it online since I could not find it in a store but overall it was worth it. This mattress is hard which may steer away a lot of parents, but I had no fear of SIDS using it! The most important thing is your baby's safety. They will get used to it. My baby slept on this from the first day home so it is all she ever knew, other than an occasional nap here and there in the beginning. I love that is is waterproof so that I didn't have to put any extra layers on the mattress. We had some puking incidents and it wiped off very easily, we just had to change the sheet. It is very lightweight and easy to get in and out of the crib. Once they are past the high risk period for SIDS, you could buy a mattress pad to make it a little softer. That is what we did but since my baby now sleeps on her stomach we still did not want it very thick. Overall I would highly recommend this mattress!
