How to tell WHICH version SnugRide you have

A reader writes in with some good info on how to tell WHICH Graco SnugRide infant seat you have. As you remember, Graco upgraded the seat in the past year to work to 22 lbs/29" (the previous model was 20 lbs/ 26"). Here is her answer:

I am a fan of your books and found on one of your blog entries some info about the new snugride limits. I went directly to the snugride site and found how to figure out if we had bought a newer model or older. You may want to share this with your readers. We purchased ours in spring of 2005 and it has the newer height limit of 29 inches.

Question: What are the size limits for my SnugRide infant car seat/carrier?
Answer: Since 2005 all new SnugRide model numbers end with a “2”. These car seats are recommended for children from 5 lbs – 22 lbs and who are less than 29” in height.

Older SnugRide infant car seats (model numbers without a “2” in end) are recommended for children from 5 lbs – 20 lbs and who are less than 26” in height.
