BRU web site doesn't accept its own gift cards


A reader writes today about BRU's new web site:

Hi Denise and Alan,

I am expecting my first child, have read Baby Bargains and wanted to make
you aware of a problem with the newly redesigned Babies R Us web site.

While their gift cards say they are redeemable iin their stores and online,
their newly redesigned web site does not allow you to pay for your purchases
with gift cards. The web site only accepts credit card payment. Babies R Us
also cannot process orders for payment with a gift card over the phone.

This is particularly frustrating when an item is only available online, not
in the store.

I asked a customer service representative when they plan to have this
problem fixed and they do not have a time table. The best she could offer
was possibly by sometime this fall.

I thought you would want to be aware of this major glitch for your next
edition.
